At about 7.30, I decided to head down to Frampton, arriving not long after 9.00. The day continued to be bright and sunny all day and what a wonderful day it turned out to be. The air was full of the raucous calling of black headed gulls, there must be 1000s here, and behind them the more muted calls of a myriad of other waders and water fowl. Brent geese were there in large numbers and filled the air with their deeper honking and regularly came and went reminiscent of squadrons of heavy bombers. I love to hear the whistle of the wigeon carrying across the marsh and the wheeling display flights of lapwing with their strident peewit calls are always exciting to watch. In order to work with the light, I spent the morning in East hide and in the afternoon moved to the 360 hide. I came away with 450 images to edit and process; Frampton never disappoints.
